Maybe the ball is wet with sweat? A wet ball can cause a "What happened?" moment.

Been playing with a Korbel for a year, very nice blade. I think it's a good choice for your offence/defence style. If Gionis Panagiotis can play high level TT with a Korbel, imagine what you can do.

Maybe you glue is bad? I had Victas glue turn bad. It dried too fast and turned in a grainy mess. Tried to thin it with water, but didn't work. Ended in the trash.

Tenergy 05 have the same arc as G1, but it's faster. I could switch between T05 and G1 without problems. But it cost 2x more. I don't have experience with MX-P. You might try Mantra Pro M. Lower arc than G1, faster, more direct. Not as spectacular as G1 or T05 but i have good results in match.

Keep in mind that new balls have a rough surface, they will grab more on rubber and table surface. They will play and bounce differently than older ball with a smooth surface.

If you take into account all the EJ you have to do to finally find your replacement, i think it's more expensive. Then you buy the real thing, find out it's not really the same, and the process start over again.

You can try Tenergy 64. It is very fast and feel soft. You can generate good speed with short strokes. Or play like Noshad Alamiyan and backhand everything everywhere. It's a unique and entertaining style.
