  1. Saudi Smash 2024

Felix Lebrun is the 'more consistent player' at the moment, this is backed up by his world ranking. T Harimoto & F Lebrun have played each other twice now (according to the commentator) both have been quite surprising results, in that they were both 3-0 wins and pretty one sided. Both players...
  2. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

Everyone is jumping on the so called 'hybrid' bandwagon!!!!!
  3. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

Definitely needs a breaking in. I have LAC on both sides of a blade, the red BH rubber is older and faster than the new black FH rubber. things are starting to even out now I've played for a few hours with the new rubber. LAC isn't slow for a Hybrid type rubber with the amount of tackiness it has.
  4. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

K3 is more towards a ESN tensor type rubber as is Bty D09C / dragon grip etc these rubbers have less tackiness than other Hybrids and traditional Chinese type rubbers such as the 'old' H3 or Battle 2 rubbers. that's why K3 is faster, if you try some traditional Chinese rubbers they are going to...
  5. Andro Nuzn 50 and 55

Too expensive to buy, too difficult to pronounce!!!
  6. Pendelum Serve like Reverse Serve

I Think SilverCup77 is talking about 'fake motion' after the contact point when you serve. You can try making a reverse pendulum motion after normal pendulum serve contact point, I find it's easier to do this compared to serving reverse pendulum and trying to add normal pendulum fake motion. A...

Not tacky, so not a hybrid??
  8. What is the best ESN Hybrid rubber for FH?

What do you mean? lack of spin? I find I can really load serves with spin using Tau 2, Spin capability is very high, up there with RZ, GT, Dragon grip, K3 etc etc
  9. How were pendulum serves returned, before the backhand Flip was more established?

Regarding spin, sure the 40+ ball has reduced spin, mainly because of the size, aerodynamics etc However in very simple terms, removing the aerodynamic effects etc. the larger ball spinning at 3000 rpm has more, how to put it, spin energy than a 38mm ball at 3000 rpm does.If they are moving at...
  10. Downgrade blade back to all-wood?

Carbon blades were first brought into the game during the speed glue / old 38mm ball era, rubbers hadn’t really changed for a while during that period, Mark V / Sriver were the, in general go to rubbers (Perhaps in Europe and Japan) So if you wanted more speed (other than speed glue) carbon was...
  11. Recommendations for a soft controlled BH-Rubber?

I have to agree with Lazer (reply #5) Go for a slower all wood blade all or all+ rating. ESN tensor rubbers with similar sponge hardness are all going to be pretty similar, in the same ‘ball park’ although not identical. Everyone is different, but generally a softer rubber on BH, harder on FH...
  12. VAT in table tennis 11

Hi, I use TT11 a lot. I haven't had to pay VAT, charged by Customs, it may be charged at source ie TT11 BUT IMPORT TAX is the one to watch for, keep your order below £135 (which I think is the max spend BEFORE Import tax is charged by Customs) with other companies that charge for delivery...
  13. Why it is hard for umpires to call hidden serves

There are a few things a serve can be called 'foul' for in badminton. If a serve was blatantly foul, it would be called, borderline was generally similar to TT - suck it up- because it's harder to really get an advantage. Badminton react pretty quickly to serves that give an unfair advantage...
  14. ITTF/WTT problems reported from players

Hi Tony, A European player MUST play 4 events minimum, is this the same for Chinese, Japanese, Korean players? Are there other minimum restrictions regarding the number of events to be played?
  15. ITTF/WTT problems reported from players

out of interest, any TTDers actually go to the final? anyone pay to watch the final on TV or Media platform?
