These trophies have been under long term storage in China.

These trophies are rotating and winners name added on every time. Been doing so for a long time
I'm not sure if they make replica for the player to keep.
There is also award/medal that is for the player to keep

First team arriving in Durban - 12 May 2023

With a team contingent of almost 60 people, the Chinese national table tennis team.

The South African team is due to land back today (from a training camp in India), with countries like NZ and a few other landing tomorrow.
Durban International Airport is going to be very busy the next few days with teams from around the world landing

I agree, but the players feel it is bright enough.

I think it is because the camera is taken from outside (dark) and shining in
sadly, the theme now driven by WTT is dark table, and dark background, dark floor.
It is actually a miracle the floor and surrounds isn't black too (like the WTT Series)

I prefer more light in the background (crowds)
Nowadays, you can't even see the coaches, or the crowd

They want a night club feel, with all the attention on the table.
I feel yester years lighting/theme is better

An Jaehyun from Korea got knocked out in the first round. I feel bad for him because he was a semi-finalist just a few years ago in 2019. Oh well, c'est la vie.

somehow videos and photos from "coaches" corner has very good lighting.
So it probably is use the youtube channels camera issue.

I actually like the 7 match scorecard so much betters.
with best of 5, at game 5, it just feels like the match only just started

I agree. Was there on Day 1, going back for semis and finals days.

This 1 was taken from the tiered stands. Looks even better on video.

Yeah, have no idea why the youtube live stream is so dark
I can only imagine the cameras are placed in very dark areas.
it was similar, but not as bad in Jan.
